One of the top BBC technology articles still has this misinformation up. It’s the same ol’ FUD-slinging Microsoft as always. Sigh.

I’d like to see the whole blogosphere and +Techmeme backtrack from constantly reporting on the fake/bogus patent claims against Android in the consumer electronics industry.

This story is funny. Microsoft announced Android has a spam botnet http://bit.ly/MT19kp and it turns out that the spam-sending botnet is on Windows PCs and using a fake “Sent from Android” signature.
Internet security researchers said Thursday they may have been mistaken about claims that mobile devices powered by Google’s Android operating system were hacked and used to send spam emails.
